I've said "sucks" many times, as many teens do, and even a handful of adults. That sucks, doesn't it! You know, when something doesn't go my way? I bet you've said it, too! When I hear someone say it, I know what they mean, my mind doesn't wander and think about oral sex in any way, shape or form.
Also, that "bites" I've used that. I think it's newer, though. I never thought of this as having "naughty" connotations. If I've thought about what it means, I'd probably think something like a snake biting me, right? That's bad and so is losing your job. You say, "this bites," right?
Now, what really has me wondering, is the newest one. "That blows"... it's supposed to mean the same thing as sucks or stinks, or doesn't go well with me, right? But come on, what do we all think of when we think of blow? The wind, right? Well, maybe, but come on, oral sex is on the top of that list, too.
So am I just illusional, or are all these words, when used in the sense I mentioned, implicative of oral sex? When I hear the first two, my mind doesn't jump to wrong conclusions and I know the person saying them aren't meaning them in that way, but I still wonder. Sucks and blows doesn't make logical sense. So what do you all think, and if these are implicative of oral sex, why do we use them, and how is it logical?
