Bad, Very Bad Game Performance

Faulty hardware?..hmm...all other games work like a charm;
wow, c&c3, supreme commander, fear all work great at max detail.

the ram isn't cheap it's 4x Kingston HyperX ddr 2 1GB (ok..i'm a bit of a tweaker)
heat isn't a problem either, my case is open for a few days since i'm measuring in a liquid cooling system (ordering parts, stuff like that)

My problems come from my old hardware.
My graphic card is getting too hot, so i guessed that could be your problem.
And the ram, i have had bad ram in the past, not the whole memory could be used.

Wow, I think there's only one awnser to this problem.

Total gauscannon defense platform cascade overload. I'm fairly certain there a pixels crying in a corner somewhere. Boy you like gauscannons.

But seriously, it bombed on my system too, even overclocking didn't really change anything. I have however played larger games with more units without this kind of lag so there must be something wrong with this save (game)

Then again my large games have all been in beta 1. Have you played beta 1, and did you have the same problems?

in beta 1 i didn;t have that much pirates...so i only had turtle-planets filled with gaus and nothing at the planets behind the beachhead.

i did these defenses becouse of all the random pirates...i wanted to focus on conquerring so i filled every planet with defense....since then no pirate has ever set foot on my planets!

waahahaha...

Well to check if it was the gauscannon, that were the cause, i found another "bug" you cant shuttle multiple structures at the same time
And i didnt feel like shuttling every single gauscannon, with 5fps
