Extreme slowdown when issuing orders

Whenever I issue a trans-system movement order to a large number of ships, I tend to experience a great deal of slowdown if I am close enough to actually see the blue "movement lines."

It could be your specs, but could you post your specs and a screenshot of the fleet your trying to move?

The slowdown leaves the moment the red (or blue) movement lines fade away, or if I zoom out far enough so that they aren't rendered; otherwise the game tends to be as smooth as glass.

Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 2x 4200+
2gig DDR2 600
Radeon 1950x pro

Your picture doesnt seem to work

I recall Blair said something about the movement lines on IRC, that they knew about the problem.
Im not sure if the patch (that will be released some time today) will fix it though, but there should be some optimization, so maybe it will help

The lines were optimized in the patch. You should see a performance increase in that type of situation.
