Something has to be done about the bounty

It is ridiculous that I have a 215k bounty on my head, and i am only halfway through a 4 player ffa with pirates game. The AI in the beginning was putting up some decent fights, but now it seems to have ceased building ships, and is now spamming bounty's like its giving away candy. How the hell do you top 215000, and RISING?! All techs have been researched (by the fact that i have insurgents invading now, and the AI is using the occasional kodiak). I am purposely turtle-ing this game to see what the AI does. Which so far hasnt been much of anything. Except spam bounty's. The 3 AI's have enough planets, and resources to build some mighty fleets,,,, but noooo. they are wasting all of their credits on bounty. It is just annoying that the AI still wont FIGHT you. Others are annoyed with this. Now i am too. The game is in its 5th hour, and there is no tech left to research. All sides should just be pumping ships out, and it should be a slug fest. Sure the AI may be fighting insurgents as well, but so am i. Plus i have a 100+ ship fleet waiting to go on a rampage. With more on the way. Yet the AI is still compelled to waste all its credits on bounty :/ Ok im done ranting

On a positive note i have been very busy fighting pirates, and insurgents

yea iv noticed this aswell they need to spend less money on bounty and more on ships ad reaserch they dont reaserch enough at the start

I dont think the AI has a problem researching. Like i said i have insurgents coming in left, and right, the AI flys occasional kodiaks. Plus their scouts are phase inhibitor immune. So that tells me they built the 15 stations, and researched all the tech. The problem is the AI is not building enough ships, or is building the wrong types of ships, or both. With 10 worlds under AI control (2 of them crystal) it should have more than enough resource, and ship slots to field at least ONE massive fleet. Instead it just sends in piecemeal forces, and waste way too much money on bountys.

This wasnt really a topic. It was more of a rant as i said above. I was frustrated and venting off some steam

I don't really like pirate system much at all. The idea of bounties isn't bad though. At 215k, im tempted to find out where you live and start clubbin ya on the head for credits myself.

At some point the computer should take a look at that bounty and decide to collect it himself. That is what is supposed to happen. The system itself is not so bad, its the AI that needs some work.

We are deep in the midst of getting his bounty spending ways under control. Btw, can you send me some pictures of the bounty stats, credits stats, and frigate stats Major Stress? Or you can interpret them yourself and just give me a report. Thanks

my last game, the enemy spent more on bounty against me than they spent on their total fleets...

Ill do even better blair ill send you the replays and saved games. Perhaps a place to upload replays so others can download, and watch might be in order?

That entire game lasted 12 hours, but i intentionally turtled most of it to see how the AI reacted.

By the end of that game i finally went on a rampage, and wiped the pathetic AI off the face of the galaxy. The bounty on my head at end game was around 770k. The last AI only had a few ships guarding his homeworld. 2 of them was surprisingly cap ships (a marza, and an akkan). The rest was mostly light carriers, and robotics cruisers.

I was constantly attacked the whole time by insurgents, and pirate spawns from the sun. My planetary defenses took care of the pirate problem. I only had to send in a fleet once to deal with them.
