I would first like to point out how impressed I am with the dev team on a generaly smooth running game with very few bugs when it is only in Beta 2. I am also very impressed with how the dev listen to the testers on general gameplay issues and the quick responces to problems testers may have.
This is a compilation of my impressions so far and may touch on things I have mentioned in other posts.
UI:
The UI is very user friendly and intuitive but I would like to see something, a symbol or mark of some kind to indicate if a planet has a shipyard. It can be on the left side display or over the planet itself, preferably both. It could be something as simple as ( ) around your flag over the planet. When playing on a large map it gets very confusing trying to remember where your shiyards are and it wastes slots to put them on every planet.
There are two pips on the planets and asteroids. I had played one entire game and halfway through another before I discovered the second pip because it is obscured by the planet names. Can you move the second pip to the right side of the planets? Also since I can barely see the second pip it is hard for me to figure out what it is measuring. Is it the strength of static defences or the level of planetary development? It would be more usefull if it was the level of planetary develoment or logistics slots used and available because the static defence strength is already displayed on the left side of the screen. I would prefer logistics slots used and available.
Gameplay:
Gameplay is suprizingly fun at this stage of development though it still has an unfinished feel you would expect at this stage.
I have already posted about the two bugs I have found but here they are again hahaha. Sometimes ships refuse to accept attack orders and take it as a movement order instead (not readily reproduceable though it happens often, see Another bug report, post), and ships take a movement order in a gravity well to mean run off to a random fase lane (reproduceable, see, Bug Report, post).
I like what you did to the culture system with the last patch but culture recede rate is still too slow. I am assured by the dev that there is a fix on the way. Thankyou

Traveling through multiple star systems is WAY too slow. Maby making a special traveling formation would help so ships dont need to jimmy into place for every jump would help. Make it so ships lose shields in travel formation or something. I would like to see ship movement speeded up a lot also, in fase travel and within a gravity well.
