Trade

What good is it?

Im just expressing my opinion that the value of trade and refinery values should go up...I really notice no difference when I have them and when I don't except in the long run in which case I would rather have the money to spend and an extra logistic spot...

I find it reasanable after v0.78.022. Tho i havent tested if they now trade across solar systems, since they give more the longer the trade run is.

I also have yet to test trade across solar systems because none of my AI buddies build trade ports even on medium.

On HARD they build a few, but not many trade ports...and they do work across systems but I would still rather put that money into research stations...any hard numbers on like 5 SD per jump?

Well...sorry for the false excitement ron...but I believe they were refinery ships, my bad. I went back and played and my cursor went over one of the 'trade ships' en route to another system, and it turned out to be a refinery ship. My bad ;(

Trade Ports is more then adequate, and definitly doesn't need an increase in the amount of credits they provide.

Refineries however are an issue late game when you deplete the available resources, the amount of crystal you gain is abysmal.

Seriously, late game I'm pretty much drowning in resources with nowhere to put 'em. Last medium game I finished with ~150 refinery ships floating around, and a similar number of trade ships.

Bit of overkill, but hey.
