SHIPS GONE MISSING!!!

I didnt see this in the feedback roundup, and I need to make sure this gets fixed

SHIPS
DISSAPEAR
IN BETWEEN SOLAR SYSTEMS

poof, gone as soon as they hit the edge of the zone (NOT once leaving the star)
it needs to be fixed, seriously. its a glaring bug.

I've had this happen a couple of times also. One time when it happened the ships were gone, but it still listed them as existing(still said I had 130 ships even though I had none on the map). I've never been able to duplicate it, so it is kind of hard to ask the DEVs to fix it. I'd say try experiment and try to get it to happen agian. That way you can tell the DEVs exactly when it happens.

its not a duplication issue, it happens consistantly
if you're talking spontaneously, I've never had that happen, this occurs specifically in the gap between star systems.

sometimes the ships will fade out, I don't think it is a bug, I think you just need to zoom in to see them.

no no no no no! tesla I'VE ZOOMED SO FAR IN MY EYES BLEED, I've even watched the Akkan dissapear (it was taking up 3/4 of my screen when it happened) they completely dissapear beyond the galaxy rim

try it yoursleves for godsake!

There were no ships, it was swamp gas , reflecting moon rays off of Venus...

I really cannot believe that nobody else is as much a spazbrain as me to have seen this! seriously, nobody watches their ships phasespace from one galaxy to the next???

Nope. Why on earth should I? The moving phase wake is all I need to see -- I hardly need to zoom in until it goes from icon to model.

Confirming this too. I thought it was some crazy gameplay mechanic, like you'd lose track of fleets by sensor range if they were between systems.

They warp out, and poof they're gone, but their selection boxes are intact and you can see the trails. You can also follow them as usual by double-clicking.

Do you mean they are gone, as in they are no longer usable by you again ever?

Or, do you mean if you are zoomed in close enough to actually see the ships they dissapear, but the game still tracks 'em, and they arrive where they were sent and you can still use them to kill stuff?

I certainly haven't had a problem with wholesale loss of ships. I've misplaced one here or there, but its usually because it was once part of a group and I gave a group command, or it was sitting somewhere and pirates or something whacked it when I wasn't looking.

Disappeared visually? Not really -- in battle, all I look at is the icons. Having those icons gone would be annoying as heck for control, but the in-transit ones? I wouldn't care at all -- the phase wake is enough to know where it is.

That said, let me point out that I agree that its a bug that needs fixing -- I just don't get why you guys are so upset about it.
