I won't say anything about the AI because I know it's still being worked on. But one thing is bugging me really really bad. Why are the Vasari so... weak? The description has them advertised as having a 9000 year headstart on the TEC in terms of technology, so I was thinking every vasari ship would be worth AT LEAST 3 TEC ships (and of course hideously more expensive and time-consuming to produce). I know the TEC has been in the fight for a while, but the idea that they nearly equal the Vasari is laughable at best. At the moment it sort of feels like I'm playing one of blizzard's rts' in terms of race likeness. I know it's still in beta, so you have plenty of time to fix this, but still, the whole point of the beta is to point out stuff we feel could use changing (and fix bugs too~), right?
I was the first one to yell out "The Vasari is underpowered!?"
But actually they are not. Not even close to being weak.
As of now you gotta get to the later technology's to see the true power of the Vasari.
As there technology is more phase jump orientated, you would want the phasegate which allows you to do one jump to anywhere in your empire where you got a phasegate installed (gotta have one from the jumping point as well). And the Anteknor (sorry cant remember how its spelled correct

) which can make a phasegate anywhere and you can jump to it within the solar system.
And trust me when i say, doing
one jump instead of like 10 or more is a HUGE bonus.
Oh, and the vasari weapon animations look pathetic. Those little green lines are capital ship weaponsfire? Give me a break.
Its been said that the green arrow things are not final animation.
