I only see one image. I do see the gifs for peoples avatars. This is very strange. The code for the images has been stripped out of my quote. The page layout is also odd. For example the "Quote" option goes over the post margin.

Working just fine in Firefox for me. In fact, I don't even have IE. And FYI, the avatars are all .jpg's.

Try clicking this WWW Link.

And yes, the Marza one is awesome

Awesome! That did the trick. I can see them all now. Strangely enough I could swear I had it off for this domain.

Man... Your stuff makes my stuff look like crap now. Wahahaah!!! My kingdom to be a real artist or have one iota of musical talent. It sucks being an abstract global learning analytical person.

My kingdom to be able to throw around the kind of cash you can throw around

8800 ultras, quad core processors, etc etc...

I'd love some of that dough: a laptop, a decent PDA/cellphone combo, etc etc

Edit: Ironically, I may just end up getting both of those examples anyway -- my dad has about outgrown his PDA/Cell combo, and while its a little out of date it should work for me. And for the laptop... well, scholarships are lovely. And it would be a "school material" to take notes on / do some classwork, not a gaming system. The gaming aspects of it would be purely an advantageous side effect of (presumably) someday needing the ability to work with CAD for other classes.

Cool! i hope it works out for you. You do need to me mobile as a student in this day and age. Sadly I'm going to get another mobile phone soon and I would send you mine but it is 3G+ and only works in Japan as far as I understand. But it is choke full of good pda stuff which I never use. Damn thing cost a fortune about two years ago. I'll likely end up giving it to my four year old as a gear for him to use at preschool.

Yeah but it is not the same as actually doing the creative thing. All my life I been an idea & planning person but never a real creator of anything worthy artistically and I love art so. God I have near $60K of it sitting in closets and TB of images on HDDs. I have to avoid going by any art stores or galleries as they turn me into a crack whore and my bank account cries as well as my wife. It is like that old sayings go "you want what you can have" or "the grass is greener on the other side of the fence".

When I was younger I was something of an artist but getting my arm crushed and developing mental discipline put an end to all that goodness.

I would trade all five of my degrees and right arm for the ability to paint and draw like Olivia, Luis Royo or Victoria Frances -etc..

BTW: Can we expect a Premium WindowBlinds skin package for Sins as well now?

I believe it's never too late. 10 years ago I studied Computer Science and ended up miserable, but working creatively in the game industry seemed like a unrealistic goal at the time. But I think I have just enough artistic talent (and a huge passion for games) that I have recently gone back to school to study Game Art and Design. It's really cool stuff, I'm hoping to work as a modeler or level designer eventually. In the past all I've only created simple stat changing mods and a few simple maps with editors, but I am really looking forward to making my own ships for a mod of Sins (we get huge discounts on full versions of 3DSMax for school).

Yeah. I hope it works out to, but I'm not holding my breath too hard. I may (or may not...) get the scholarships worked out well enough to be able to afford it. I could always end up waiting a few months and getting a cheapie out of my paycheck instead (and then curse myself when I have to upgrade because its not enough for some program they want me to run, but thats life).

I'm not really much a fan of banners in general (I'm one of those people that tends to disable sigs in forums that support them), but hey... why not.

And maybe a Sins userbar:

A start, anyway. I'll probably put more up once I can get on and take some screenshots.

@Ray - yeah that is what I keep thinking. It is also why I do mods. However family and social obligations prevent me from taking such flights of fancy now. Then there is always the geographical situation. I never lived near any place that had a development houses or I would have been on their door step in a hot minute. Now I live in the heart of silicon valley Japan and sadly enough I dont do the local language and I have clients that work for Sony, Sega, Nintendo and others but without the language skill they cant hire me for development work.

On a side note, currently I'm trying to informally convince some senior manager clients from Canon to talk to their president about starting a game studio to diversify its revenue stream and to try to shift away from being a hardware only company. I'm using Sins as an example for them (which they all seem to love by the way). However it is like beating my head against the wall. The hardware mentality is so ingrained in the corporate culture at the company even though they are interested in the idea they dont feel they could be persuasive enough to sell it and due to my language issues I cant exactly do the sales pitch. Then there is the bigtime background changes going-on within the company's management paradigm over the past three years or so as it changes to a merit based type of company from a traditional one.

I even suggested for them to consider looking into SD as an acquisition where they just act as a bank roll to begin with and let Brad and company do their thing independently and provide software & game development experience/expertise for select engineers and managers. Think of it as sort of like training wheels for Canon to get its feet wet so to speak. I figure at a minimum the name "Canon Games" or "Canon Interactive Media" would be a good brand and with its distribution channels as well as partner companies and economic resources a match with SD would be monumental to say the least.

However they are severely risk adverse, especially after the $120M+ SED fiasco with close partner Toshiba. But I digress...

@Tsed - thats are pretty cool.

When you make Sins videos you MUST focus on the Marzas "raze planet" IMO one of the best effects in the game in both sight, and sound. Truly awe inspiring. "Mega Maid" (Jarrasul Evacuator planet sucker) is a good effect too if you want to add that in

Once i get the forge tools, and a "plan". You know ill be big on the mod scene.

@IC - maybe it is an oversight and if so a "gamma cookie" for pointing it out would really be nice.

With that said...

Given you guys stopped using the word "epic" to promote the game in the media the skin for this forum should be updated for consistency purposes.

OMG!!! You mean no one on WC or SDD is making one at all (unofficial of course)? What about of us outside the US? Shall I assume there is a time limit on the exclusivity arrangement?

On the promotional front: If people are running TS and/or Vent servers they could add a MotD for Sins. Additionally maybe IC could set up a "greeting card" that people could email to friends.

That's kind of up to Ironclad on unofficial ones. We have no way of limiting it to those inside North America, so it's a worldwide thing. I suspect that once the novelty has worn off it'll be released to all purchasers (could take a year or so).
