Hey! First let me say that Sins is one of the greatest strategy games I've ever played, and my natural desire to obsess is building a deep and strong relationship with this game. However, I've been having issues lately in multiplayer with disconnecting, usually about five hours into an eight player game when I'm dominating everyone (Imagine my pain, #1 in military, empire, and economy in an eight player match, and then poof, connection gone). As far as I've been able to tell, there are two distinct connection problems I've been having.
1. Modem Crash - I run a Speedstream 5100 modem (commonly known for having issues if they run Double NAT and too many connections are pushed through) that will randomly lose connectivity at random points in the game. The game will register myself as migrating in the Network tab and all other players as disconnected.
2. Random Disconnects - Occasionally in multiplayer game my internet will be working fine (with myself keeping a watchful eye on the modem) and the connection will suddenly just falter. I don't really have any ideas on this one.
I'd appreciate any help that can be given. Thanks a bunch for this awesome game!
P.S. I just had to ask this question somewhere, but why does the noise that the TEC Gauss Platforms make when you click on them sound so much like the Terran Bunker from Starcraft? I have to repeatedly click on them just to hear that sound.
