Installation Problems

Retail DVD version

When I try to install the game I get an error message saying "Error reading from file H:\data\OFFLINE\E8A1B781\C430389C\Activate.Ing" (H is one of the DVD drives). I tried installing from both DVD-ROM drives and to different locations, but no luck. I searched the forum, but couldn't find anything about this problem, but I suppose there is something I missed. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is?

I have a problem very similar to YsFanatic. I bought the game today and when i try to install i get about 3/4's the way through when i get an error F:/data/OFFLINE/CA21F9C0/F56C52C/ModulePhaseLaboratory-cl.dds on the disk it tells me to "Verify that the file exists and that you can access it" well i can get into the CD in "My Computer" and find the file click "Retry" on error message and i get the same error. And one time i got past that but got stuck on a similar error from same path just "ModuleHangardefense-nm.dds".

Plz help me this game looks pretty fun but i dont know wat i can do, i've been trying for last 3 hours to install?

Try copying the entire contents of the disc to your hard drive, and running setup.exe from there. Failing that, you could also register your serial and download the game if you have fast internet.

when i tried to copy the files it said (for the same 2 files if having problems with) something about cyclic redundecy check?

If that's the case then you most likely have a defective disc. You can do the download method, or return the box and exchange it at the store for another copy.

I had the same problem installing the game on Windows Vista.

I installed this update, gave it a reboot, and it installed fine.
