As far as I can tell, there are a few consistencies between our likes and dislikes, but... Everyone is different (No two people are not on fire). Whats Hot: A nice smile, the eyes (it's all in the eyes), modesty, the token librarian and nerd girls in movies (Rachael Leigh Cook - Anti-trust), intelligence, interesting personality, caring, good proportions, healthy hair (long or short), not afraid to eat a decent meal, or chocolate, or ice-cream, French/Africaans accent, free thinker...

Whats Not: Skanky clothes (belts being used as skirts and bikini tops being used as a top and not underwear), stilts masquerading as shoes (esp. the clear plastic ones), drug and bad diet affected skin, stoner eyes, "Im hot and don't I know it", surgical 'enhancments', enough piercings to resemble a tackle box, noticeably low self-esteem, sheep mentality...
Britney, Christina, Missy Elliot, Courtney Love, Calista 'emaciated' Flockhart.
What Doesn't Matter: Height, shoe size, the car they drive, what they did ## years ago, who and what their family are, how much money they earn (social status).
IMHO, magazine publishers, advertisers, fashion label marketing and Hollywood have it wrong most of the time. I guess they want to stand out from the crowd by being shocking, different and to be able to say "My models are thinner than yours!" but give me a 50's pinup girl anyday!
