* My game has crashed and told me it saved a "minidump" file. What do I do?

Please open Windows Explorer to the location below and see if your dump file is there.

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\Sins Dump

Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\Sins Dump

If there is a minidump file present, please zip it up along with a copy of a dxdiag from your PC and a description of what you were doing when it occurred to support(at)ironcladgames(dot)com. Please note that you must provide your Sins of a Solar Empire serial number in your email to receive support (anti-piracy measure).

My minidumps happen during single player games, and I'm frustrated, I get 5-10 minutes into the game and it dumps, and I cant locate the minidump file

Not quite sure what he said to make you think he hasn't purchased the game... people with the full game are also getting this error.

In fact, because this game has no protection, I would assume the error would be almost exactly the same for everyone, pirated copy or not.

I think what Windexglow meant was that, if you pirated this game the mini-dump files are probably not being created at all due to lack of proper registry entries including paths for mini-dump file location...etc.


Whether that is or isn't the case I'm unaware if anyone can actually confirm.

I do own the ****ing game and I believe a mod was creating my problem,or should I say a mod in the wrong folder, cuz now i no longer get mini-dumps

whats the average time for response from support? I've had this same problem and sent in my minidump.

The maps are probably mostly made for 1.02. To make them show up under 1.03, you'll need to open them in notepad and change the Version from 0 to 1.

sorta late I suppose, but you click the start bar, then click run, then type dxdiag in the box, then you do whatever it takes to have it generate a report, then find the location of it, and voila..
