Alright, alright. I know SD/IC will continue to enhance the game with more patches, but I just want to say if they never made another patch then the game would be just perfect.

A few people will always complain no matter what. Even if the game was perfect they would still complain. They could make 1000 patches and still some people will want more more more.....

The game is awesome. Thanks StarDock/IronClad!

I wouldn't say its perfect, but its better. I want to see culture eventually looked at, but mainly it would be nice to add a info card for culture when present on your planet/s. For instance, when you high light your planet it shows that culture has increased your resources by 10% and the bonus you get for your units.

A way to reconnect to a game if you crash would be nice too, but thats probably a bit more complex to implement. For graphics it would be nice if they did something about guardians. When to many do their shield skill, the screen becomes opaque and slows the game down to a crawl. I've gotten down to 1fps on my rig. It would be nice if the transparency effects didn't continue to stack like it does.

Thats the only thing I can think of for now.

No such thing as a perfect game. Patches are always welcome as they continue to improve the game. I personally cant wait for the new graphical options in 1.1.

That is a matter of opinion.

I would like culture to be revisited altogether, maybe made harder or some other way so it could somehow be a winning condition.

My 2 cents.

Man, I don't know if I was playing against newbs or what but I've won many games with culture.

Based on end-game statistics that I have looked at recently, very few people produce any culture at all. Those are easy victims to culture.

You mean the game really stops and says you won? Gives you the won or keep playing screen? I didn't know that if that is the case.

Yes, the game ends because the opponent leaves the game because they hate it when they lose planets to culture. They just give up and leave. Game over.

Just to be sure. You mean the AI opponents or human ones that just get fed up with it?

Ah, I mean as a victory condition for single player games. I am one who would like to see a few ways for non-combat victories.

They obviously have to address the online multiplayer...but that was announced to be a part of version 1.1, thankfully.

I just downloaded the latest update and tried to play a new game. I can not build a research facility, cap ship factory, or second frigate factory now..
Am I missing something new. It looks like a bug to me. What gives?

I can understand the MP gripes if they are getting de-syncs because the netcode isnt nat aware or some other reason .(I hate de-syncs and such things so I sympathise!) I am just playing SP at the momment and am really enjoying it now like the game pace. Hope I can say the same as I get better! I hope all the issues get fixed but hope also that the game balance and speed doesnt get wrecked because of "ubers". I hope a balance is struck that meets the needs of veterans and newbies alike but that will be very difficult to achieve.
