I don't care what anybody else says, the old Oregon Trail games were some of the most kickass games around. Shooting crap, watching your friends drown in river, or getting pissed off becuase the stupid wagon drove over you? How can you beat memories like that?

I remember the old Oregon Trail games!
I think you can find them on GameTap. I played the entire (Blank) Trail series, such as the Yukon Trail and Amazon Trail games. Good times.

Those were great games.
Btw; I can't remember if I was playing the Amazon Trail Demo or something, but does that game end rather suddenly?

The original Oregon Trail was AWESOME!
Yukon Trail was fun, but Oregon Trail was infinitely better.

EDIT (grrr, button dissapeared!): I think it's when a tiger(?) gives you a medal or something.

All you original Oregon Trail fans can download the game and play it via Applewin (an Apple emulator) here: http://classicgaming.gamespy.com/View.php?view=GameMuseum.Detail&id=266
(much thanks to fragmaster for this page)

Didn't you have to get a bunch of medals? Mabey the trial only lets you get one.

Sweet! I was just thinking about this game the other day too lol...
But the one I remember was monochrome, on the original Apple II, didn't have graphics like the one in the link 2 posts above.

You have killed a bison. You are able to carry
2 pounds
of meat back to the wagon.

Go to Globalgamenetwork.com and play it for free. They call it Westward Trail, I think.

I think my party was solely responsible for the mass extinction of buffalo. I would shoot as many as I could despite only carrying a few pounds back.
