Multiplayer troubles

k, so me and my friend were tryin to play together and we ran into some troubles.

1) His computer disconnects him from my game after hes about 75% done loading the map
2)To get around this we used hamachi to play outside of ironclad online, this worked for a while but now when he moves his ships (etc) I dont see them moving on my screen

HELP!

Sounds to me like you're having several different issues.....

1. I would do a "tracert" between your comps....(when the map upload fails) to see if there is a bad "hop" somewhere.

2. Your second issue (over Hamachi) sounds like game desync.....which the DEVS addressed in patch 1.05. Make sure you're both running v1.05


Lastly, it is my understanding that some people have been reporting crashes/de-sync etc. when having MODS enabled, and no such experiences when the MODS aren't enabled.

Try both systems "vanilla" SINS (not even one custom map) and see what happens.......welcome to the the world of troubleshooting modded product!

Why run over hamachi?
instead of choosing Ironclad online, just choose multiplayer, you can do direct ip games that way.
example.

i have port 6112 open and forwarded to my machine.
my ip adress is 1.2.3.4.5 i host a game,
the other person/people choose multiplayer - join game and use my ip address..

done, game hosted and ready to play.

No need for hamachi, unless you dont know how to do port forwarding, in witch case just do a search on the forums been answered many times.
