Greetings, and such. I've been having a bit of trouble with SINS, as could be imagined.
About 10 or 15 minutes into a game (Single or Multiplayer) SINS will crash to a Blue Screen. This hasn't always happened, but since the first patch the game has been rather buggy. Previously (or if we play off a clean install, no patching) we'd had no problems with it, save a bit of slowdown late-game, but as soon as we patched to 1.03, we began having issues with multiplayer. About 15 minutes into a game, (usually during an autosave, but the bug would occur at other times as well, so simply turning off autosaving wasn't an option.) one of us would crash to desktop, and one of those minidump errors would be generated. We assumed this was one of those sync errors so heatedly discussed here, and waited till a patch to fix it would occur. We passed up SINS for several weeks, and finally decided to come back to it when the most recent patch was made available. Unfortunately, this started the aforementioned blue-screens on my laptop. I can no longer play a multiplayer or singleplayer game of SINS. Bit distressing, as you might imagine.
I'm assuming it's got something to do with my setup, as this doesn't appear to be a common error.
System Specs:
Windows XP
1GB Ram
Intel Core2 Duo CPU (2.16GHz Dual)
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (512MB)
SoundMAX HD Audio
Lastest available drivers for all applicable devices have been installed
I have changed all visual settings to their lowest possible option (including un-checking several 'extra' visuals like bloom and such, removed antialiasing, lowest resolution, etc), and the game runs seamlessly, but the BSOD crash always occurs. If anyone can make any suggestions, I would be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance.
