ReInstall Without Reinstalling

Have the system see the install...

I recently reformatted and reinstalled my OS partition with my games partition intact. Most, if not all of my games work from that partition without trouble.

But the problem becomes that the system and Impulse can't see the install anymore, unlike Guild Wars and WoW which the Vista games browser picked up on once I started the programs.

Is there a way to reinstall without reinstalling or make that installation know to the system? Or will I have to reinstall and repatch all over again?

The game should run merrily without its registry entries, but if you want Impulse to recognize it, it'll need reinstalled (that's the simplest solution, anyway).
