Giving a new race unique music

Well first off I checked the entity file for my race, as I had read something about music in there before, and saw only:

 musicThemeCount 7
 musicTheme "MUSIC_TEC_THEME_1"
 musicTheme "MUSIC_TEC_QUIET_1"
 musicTheme "MUSIC_TEC_MISC_1"
 musicTheme "MUSIC_TEC_MISC_2"

 musicTheme "MUSIC_TROUBLE_4"
 scareThemeCount 2

 musicTheme "MUSIC_TEC_ANNOUNCEMENT"

Is it referencing the sound folder? If so how do you add more songs to it as well as replace the old ones?

To replace the old ones just overwrite them with your new .ogg file into the sound folder. (give them the name of the file being overwritten.)

i didn't try to add more songs but i assume you would add 1 to the theme count that you listed above and put a name like "MUSIC_TROUBLE_99" in the list as an alias and do the same in the Game.musicdata folder. Then goto the SoundMusic.sounddata file and here is where you tie the alias to the file name.

Then add the song to the sound folder.

Hi CanadaMan, seems you work on a big MOD.
Check the SoundMusic.sounddata in GameInfo folder, that file refer to the final sound files.
And, don't worry about ogg format, use mp3 works well too.

it should be in the sound folder. this is the list of songs i found when replacing the freespace music. maybe its helpful.

TEC Opening.ogg should in the Sound folder too, how can it disappeared.
Search it again, Canadaman.
