I can't install the game

Just received my Sins DVD, when I try to install it gets to the point where you can choose easy or advanced install. Whichever of them I choose, when I hit next I get an error message, then a window that says

The installation of Sins of a Solar Empire has failed. "Error grave durante la instalación". Please check your settings and try again.

(The text in Spanish says "serious error during installation".)

My system is Windows XP, 3 GB memory, 2 Ghz processor, Ati X1650 pro card. I have never had this problem with any other stardock game including the Sins demo. Help please!

Did you make sure you completely uninstalled the SINS demo first?
