I played the Entrenchment Beta last night for about 4 hours, and the one glitch I noticed was that the Torpedo ships act weird, when I tell them to attack a starbase, they show a green move vector and move right next to the starbase instead of a red attack vector. If left alone on jumping into orbit they move into range of a target, fire, retreat to their jump position, wait for weapon recharge and attack again. While this is a cool feature, they often don't attack the starbases first that is the threat you brought them in to take care of. To make them attack the starbases they very often put themsleves as I said before next to the starbase.
The AI doesn't seem to know what to do about Starbases at all. The game I launched, a multi star huge map is down to a stalemate. I can fly in, destroy enemy starbases and capture planets. The AI jumps in sees the starbase, attacks when not adequatley prepared and then has to retreat under heavy loses. A normal game pre entrenchement they push hard all the time.
Also, we were told that the starbase would be prohibitvely expensive. I think they are way too afordable, I've got one at each of my 12 planets. 2 grand to build, almost as much for the upgrades aren't that prohibitve.
