Im in australia also. But new to this.
I am in Japan. I wouldn't mind playing a few online games; however, I do not have a lot of time to spend with them. Maybe an hour or so at a time.

I can host and often do.
A lot of the players I play with are in Europe and USA and game is OK, so I wouldn't have thought China would be an issue unless there are major lag issues due to the Chinese Internet rules.
Yeah, I've noticed that playing with people around the world is no problem. Starting to meet people who play around my time zone, so it's a good start
