Its not just multiplayer... I played a 12 hour long 1v1 vs an hard AI in 1.12, (big map, slow settings) and when I went to see the recording... after an hour in, I noticed my first kol capital ship I had built (which never died durring the game) was dead, and its fleet members were sitting at my homeworld... the enemy ships that that kol would later destroy just kinda sat in the systems they were supposed to get destroyed in, and so were taking up fleet space that they werent supossed to be taking up, and the pirates were doing wierd things, and I desided that whoooly shizznit, I better exit out of this before the growing paradoxes rip apart the fabric of cyberspace! (e.g. blue screen of death)
Edit: Hehe... offtopic... but I remembered when I used a insta-nuke cheatcode while watching a recording of a game in Rise of Nations once (or maybe i used that code a few times... never enough nukes, right?
) haha... the paradoxes eventually DID totally screw up my computer... it required a total plug-pull and a check of the harddrive to fix up... (ya, you know you did it bad when the press-the-power-button-for-5-seconds-kill-switch stops working)
