Need a new Galaxy Forge!

     Does anyone know when a new one will be coming out? One that is compatible with this new "Fast Start" thing. That seems to be the main problem. I made a map using 1.1 then i went through and edited the .galaxy file in notepad and updated it line by line so that the fast start is included. (i used other maps as a reference.) i thought I had gotten around the problem but I keep getting minidumps   Anyone know the eta on the new forge. I imagine it's going to be after the official release of entrenchment but how long after??????

did you put the normalstart & quickstart entries for each planet including wormholes?

btw I am working on a map conversion program to convert maps from the old structure to the new structure

Yes, I was pretty carefull. The minidump alwasy seems to happen 20 mins in when a Vasari gives me a dimplomacy mission. Strange. But your program sounds interesting be sure to let everyone know when it's finished

sounds like one of the other bugs in b3 & not related to maps at all

even though it is suggest that we adjust the files ourselves, I perfer that they still release the latest version

mooster I am writing the map updater to save many hours of map updateing by hand and it is about 40% complete ie all of the support functions are in place now I just have the vital part that analizes the map file and inserts the changes. AND I ALSO want a new galaxy forge hopefully with an automated way of adding indepenent militias

So when we're updating our maps by hand, is it only the fast start lines that i need to add for ALL planets wormhols ect? Or are there other things to watch out for?

as of 1.14 yes, but for 1.15 i do not know yet, I will get to look at it tonight rwp

there probably was changes and they flowed into 1.15, as entrenchment is effectivly a LARGE MOD for sins

the converter is about 40% complete, but the only code to write is the critical code for converting the maps. all the support code has been written & tested in xp32 &64 vista 32 & 64 AND windows7 32 & 64. I hope to finish by thursday next week unless rl gets in the road againas it is today.
