Hello there. as a fellow overclocker i have to give some congrats to a nice OC on that phenom. I personally went with an intel q9550, so i apologize about this being off topic but i wanted to give some input. I would take readings from asus probe 2 with a grain of salt since ive read from numerous forums in the oc community (ocforums, com, overclocker.net to name a few) that the software is a POS and doesnt take temp readings from the on die thermo's. Also, using P95 for a stability testing, atleast for my intel quad, i found that running small FFT for 2+ hours got me higher temps than 4+hours of large FFT. I could be mistaken since ur on a amd platform. Use Coretemp and/or Realtemp for your readings since they seem to be the most accurate. But for the sake of posting temps, ill start off even tho its a q9550 and no phenom..,
Prime95 Small FFT for 4 hours: (just gonna give hottest of the 4 cores)
q9550 @ 4.01ghz, 1.32v (bios) Vcore Heatsink: Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme (lapped)
Coretemp: Idle - 28 celcius
Load - 54 celcius
Realtemp: idle - 28 C
load - 53 C
P.S - is ur cpu a 45 nm phenom II 940 or the previous generation?
