Major balance issue with illums

despite the ridiculous overpowerdness of the illums themselves. I dont think they are the main problem with balance. The problem is every counter to the illums can be simply blocked with a ship or a technology. THe counter triangle is

Illum-->Lf--->Carrier--->Illum

but then flack comes in and breaks the triangle makeing it.

Illum--->LF--> Carrier. <---Illum

the early game counter is gone. with flack illums then counter all early game units except scouts which can be countered in countless ways.(mainly with repulse)

 

The next problem is late game with repulse, illums counter everything because even HCs cant reach the illums.

making illums OP because they counter all of the units which were designed to destroy them.

 

Advent is is the only race which can effectively break the counter triangle making illums more powerful than every ship becasue they counter absolutly everything with a couple of ships and techs.

what is people thinking the illums are overpowerd?  How many updates to this game have we had, and how many changes to the illums have the devs made?  think about it.

Yay join the club. Their already a fair share of topics adressing it. I for one am waiting for when IC will realise this current road is a dead end and rools back flak and carriers to 1.01.

1.03 a minor part fo the communaty was whining advent underpowered. Trust is they were far form underpowered people just hadn'T yet figure out the game and how to play with lums. So what happens is IC bostes Advent and over night the game become and advent only game. After that they ahve been nerfing advent over an dover still not realising they need to reutrn advent to 1.03 lvls. I know one dude in 1.03 with advent would take on 4 dude by him self and crush em. So I always wondered why for the love fo god they bosted advent and why their taking so damne dlong to nerf it bacvk down.

I don't think the illuminator is the problem.  Someone has to have the strongest LRF, and that happens to be the Advent with illuminator.  I think the problem is that the current meta-game overvalues the LRF to such a degree that having the strongest LRF is an overpowering advantage.  This, combined with the fact that the guardian can negate heavy cruisers, is the problem.

I think the focus has to be on the game mechanics to make strategies like the battleball less effective and force fleets to spread out.  If you couldn't just bunch your fleet up into a tight cluster, covering LRF's with flak would becoming a lot harder, and guardians couldn't repulse everything with virtual impunity.  This would instantly make the LRF much less advantageous, and would really help strike craft since they'd have more room to maneuver.

Nah I know that guys as Jaz7 or Jaw7 somethign like that. The dude was insane. In my book he was easily teh best ever sins player.
