[Bug] Neutral Planets Don't Spawn Militia Turrets

On the Dawn of Victory website, one of the DoV devs said that:

"I should note that around 70% of randomized planets are supposed to spawn with Gauss Turrets but don't due to Ironclad misspelling "Gauss" in galaxyscenariodef and never fixing it."

Is this true? Will it get fixed? A single spelling mistake is hard to find, but fighting militia who have turrets would be new for me.

Looking at it, it does say "Guass" instead of "Gauss" in a few places.

Hmm, it's correctly spelled 33 times while misspelled 4 times.  I seriously doubt fixing those four misspellings will affect anything at all.  More likey is that IC took out spawning turrets on militia worlds.

Edit - It only calls for turrets for owner "PlanetOwner" and not owner "RandomMilitia".  So I don't think it's IC's intent for them to have turrets.

this I think is closer, for I have no problems getting turrets to spawn for me when I create customized maps. Heck the Mod I use (distant stars) allows me to create starbases. Created one map that has planets with 3 orkuls

Really, I tried to do that but I got minidumps. Did you make a militia spawn them from the GalaxySenarioDef file or from the map file?

you have to make the militia spawn from the GSD file, plus I used a mod that had a specially design starbase constructor (we use it mainly for the pirates) that automatically forms into a starbase upon setup with all the trimmings

go ahead and check out the map, it is on the distant stars mod called Ashes of the TEC, its a huge 5 player ffa

Ah, well that would make sense, as I only got constructors to work. I might have to take a look at that ability...
