[suggestion] spy to steal technology

Thought it would be great to have ways of stealing technology... or maybe share technology... would bring co-op play to a whole new level...

 

Think about a TEC players buildnig Vasari ships (not all of them or anything like that) but stealing the tech to build just one thing or something like that.

or maybe spys could disable another player's research so that a technology is nolonger available to them... like erased from their systems or something...

Nay.

But it would be cool to have spies conducting sabotage missions. So that suddenly you'd have messages popping up about spies sappin' dispensers on planet Chione.

I think perhaps stealing general technology, like the ability to go through wormholes, or faster mineral processing, would be awesome. It'd be like how the Russians stole secrets about American nuclear weapons to produce their own.

But specific ship research stealing sounds a little silly to me.

Rather than "Steal" technology, if their information gave you a temporary boost to whatever you are researching.

Getting a research speed bonus would be pretty cool, and easy to implement.

Hey instead of stealing, about learning the tech....(not sure if this had been suggested)

or even the ability to slow or stop research that is going on or to be done but once researched, it cannot be stopped

nah spying for what ur enemy has and currently researched sounds better
