Best .ogg converter?

Pretty self explanatory, what is the best mass file converter avaliable to convert .wav into .oog? I was just using audacity to convert music for the game, but now I'm moving on the ship voices, and I've got hundreds of voice files that I really don't want to have to convert one at a time. Obviously a free converter would be the best option.

Try foobar2000. I haven't used it recently, but I used it to convert some music for Sins a while ago.

i  used a  portable  version  of "sound forge" or a "adobe audition"  for a profesional  result ,  maybe  search  in  google  ething

ohh  the audacity is good too

I'm pretty sure FB2K can't convert into mono ogg, only stereo.

You made me install it again to find out, but yes, you can convert to mono. It's under the Processing tab: DSP->Downmix channels to mono.

Give dbpoweramp a try.  Very easy to use.  I use it all the time to rip and convert my CDs.

Ogg Vorbis was specifically created to be a free audio format, so I should hope you find a free converter! 

If you're looking for customizability, go with Foobar2000.  (For a guide to set it up with the highest-quality Ogg Vorbis encoder, scroll down to "Encoding from Files" in this post.) 

If you're just looking for a quick, easy solution and aren't picky about the sound quality, I'd go with dbPowerAmp.

Yeah, but I wasn't sure if I could find one capable of converting hundreds of files at once. Fortunately some of the suggestions look promising, so hopefully my problem will be fixed later today.

Just for the record, I tried several of these programs, and Foobar2000 was the best once I found the right conversion executable.

Yeah, it's pretty great considering you can even have a convert profile that dumps everything in the right format and in Sound by default instead of having to prompt you ever time.

That right conversion executable being: Oggenc using aoTuV from Rarewares.org

You can also use  http://www.oggconvert.com/, an online OGG converter to any of these files, MP3, AAC, FLAC, OGG, WMA, M4A, WAV .

For me MelodyCan is the best software for different players. It can remove drm and convert  files to different formats. You can try it_))
