Hello to Devs. I recently shifted the coding of the beta from Bin to Text to study the pirates (I mod the pirates for Distant Stars) in I noticed a bug that is in the files that most probably would not see in game.

The bug is in the RESEARCHSUBJECT_PIRATE_ABILITYACCESS_SPRINT.entity file with this line of code

Prerequisites
 NumResearchPrerequisites 1
 ResearchPrerequisite
  Subject "RESEARCHSUBJECT_FRIGATEACCESS_HEAVYTECH"
  Level 1

considering the fact that the Pirates may not have access to this file this represents a bug that you might want to quickly sqaush

So there should be a pirate version of _FRIGATEACCESS_HEAVYTECH?  I'm assuming that's what you mean.

well considering they already get access to HCs anyway, I thinking more that the line of code I posted should not be there

We'll be removing that pre-req in the next patch. Thanks for the tip.

Actually i was hoping it was in for a reason, like the Pirates were going to have to research or "capture" or "trade" for the research in order to get the ability.

But that would probably take longer than Devs might want. Good find Ryat, and interesting, haha, but i think i keep seeing these kind of things as cool possibilities for ... and my imagination starts churning away, haha.

I'd make a lousy bug finder!!  I would think everything is a future feature!!
