Ok Here is my issue, While playing sins/entrenchment for an extended period of time(usually over a couple days) my game starts to lag just ever so slightly and the during large battles ships just randomly "slide" in some direction. now this only happens in HUGE battles(100+ planets with a lot of huge fleets and usually 5+ AIs and me). This even happens when I zoom out so I pretty sure its not my video card. The lag is not unberarable but it is REALLY annoying.
After some testing, I realized that the game was only using ONE of my cores. I have no clue why it would do this since theis game is advertised as Multi-core capable. If anyone has a suggestion, it would be really appreciated.
Could it be that the "sliding" is not correlated to the lag but to enemies using guardians which can cause this to ships as an ability?
Be happy that you've got a Core i7 processor, though. When I had my Phenom 9500 (4*2.2 GHz) the game was pretty much unusable, even on medium sized maps.
That the game is only using one core is true. That it's therefore falsely advertised, too. At least in germany that allows to demand your money back as such false advertising is illegal here. I think the users simply did not do enough to demand this being fixed.
Very funny is the comment of the german publisher: They do claim that they have to falsely advertise the game as multicore as that is obligatory to get a microsoft certification for windows games! I've yesterday tried to contact Microsoft about this issue, as probably this would also render their certification illegal and thus might prove a lever to force a fix of this issue. Maybe you could also try to push them into fixing this game instead of simply demanding your money back...
