One thing I would have liked to see in Soase: Diplomacy, was more action on the political scene.
I'm thinking about the political system in The Guild 1-2 etc.
In The Guild 2 (That's the one I've played the most, anyhow), one can apply for political positions in the town where you live.
You start with applying for the lower positions, head master, executioner, moving upwards to guild master, task master, mayor etc etc (I do not remember the rank names 100%, maybe not even 10%).
Eventually, the city would grow so big that the position for Cardinal, King/Queen and Commander would open up.
Now, to achive the rank of f.ex. Task master, one has to bribe, give gifts, sweet talk and such to the other people that are in the ranks that is to vote for wether you or others applied to that rank, should have it.
Now that adds depth, I'd say. Here you have bribes, backstabbing, removing an opponent from position because you do not like him, and you think your ally should have that position instead.
Holding these positions provides you with certain bonuses.
Mayor can steal from the city's tax money, ban people etc. Executioner controls the prison and may torture people.
You may be the king one day, but suddenly you're assasinated by another guild who wants a shot at the throne.
Please add something like that in Soase: Diplomacy. It'd add much more depth and fun in it!
