I'm wondering if there is any scheme that allows Impulse purchsers of the various Sins expansions to get a CD at a discounted rate?

Occasionally I play with a non-net connected location and having a "Trinty" Cd would be nice as a failsafe. I have Sins and all of the expansions through purchased downloads but cannot play at these locales when I am there. Anyone got any information along this line?  [No laptop here]

I think there's a way you can create an offline archive for yourself.

Ah...any clue where/how one might find that?

Contact Stardock sales/support re: your question about discount pricing on the CD.

For archiving, right click the game in the My Games tab of Impulse and select Archive Application.

Burn it disk, thumb drive, whatever.

In theory, since I've not tried it, you then go to the Impulse menu (top left, above the left and right arrow navigation buttons) and select Restore Archive.  You will need to do all of this through Impulse.  I also do not know if there are restrictions with moving this archive around between different computers.  You will want to test this before relying on it.

Finally, you can go through the Preference menu options and have games auto-archive before updating.  This would seem useful if you are about to apply a patch, but don't want to have to reinstall everything from scratch if you don't like the patch content or have some issue with the patching process.

Allows you to log in and download the full game already archived. So you can put it on a CD or install to a computer that doesnt have internet access. You do need Impulse on the computer your installing though.

Thanks for the link there good info all.  Appreciate the help.  I am fine with Impulse b ut I usually like to be able to determine my own destiny and it sucks to be with no internet access AND no games.
