So I started playing a sins diplomacy game, which I had already been playing on and off for a few days. However, after changing my desktop configuration so that I now used object dock as opposed to impulse dock. However, instead of placing the shortcut directly onto the dock, It was (and still is) inside a folder which was linked to on object dock. So when I open the folder on object dock and launch the game (making sure that the window for the folder is closed). The game starts normally and the GUI can be used in any which way without any crashing. However, when I want to access that saved Single Player game so I can kick the crap out of the Advent (
), things get a bit more complicated. As soon as the game begins to load and the load bar graphically represents that, the magical noise of failure appears and the game effectively freezes. I alt + tab out of the Sins program and see a minidump window telling me the exact location of the minidump file (Thanks for that feature Ironclad games programmers, very useful to say the least
). I then exit that window and then use the task manager to exit the sins application as it is no longer responsive.
For anyone concerned who would like to see the minidump file for more extensive information about the crash, the rapidshare link is: http://rapidshare.com/files/353450972/Sins-Diplomacy_v1.01-2010-02-20-11-55-26-2500-2628.dmp.html
Thank you to anyone who can help me.
