Hello sins community, i am in need of some real help. i own sins of a solar empire trinity but i do not know how to update it. i really want to/need to update it because i want to play online and i also want to apply this mod i downloaded that makes the ships look like ships from eve online. please, someone tell me where i get the updates my version is .11

in the game menu itself its the button that says "download updates", i think you can also update by right-clicking the title in impluse

After you've registered your game on impulse, any available updates will appear in the updates tab.

the latest version is 1.011? becaues iv seen posts about stuff like .50 and .51, could those be for stuff that isnt trinity like entrenchment? you see im trying to get a mod working for sins and this person posted that the latest version was 1.051 so im just curious also i still cant update, i hit the download update button and it takes me to impulse and theres nothing about updates their, i see no update tab

where do i save my mod is it in the mod path that you can find in options in game?

The original game is currently at version 1.191
Entrenchment is currently at version 1.051
Diplomacy is current at version 1.011

So yes, if you're running Diplomacy then 1.011 is the most recent version. It corresponds to version 1.051 for Entrenchment and 1.191 for the original game. Generally people use the original game's numeration, since the other ones can be ambiguous.

alright it appears i have yet another problem, for some reason i have 2 mods files one with the two folders that are mods i downloaded (these i recognize) the others are a bunch of weird things like Mesh and Game Info, the other file which has the exact same name does not have the two mods files i downloaded, but still has the the weird files like mesh and game info. This is a problem because its interfering with downloaded newer and funner mods, what should i do? just delete the one without the thwo mod files i recognize?

Did you extract a third mod? GameInfo and mesh are the kind of folders that should be inside a mod folder. So maybe when you extracted a mod the actually mod folder didn't get made but that folders contents got dumped in your mod folder instead.
