Ive been playing a 10 player FFA (SP) and everything was working fine. I sent an attack force to bombard 1 enemy planet, but when that planet was destroyed, the game told me that the enemy empire had been defeated.
At first I figured that I had destroyed the enemy's last planet, but when I jumped to another nearby planet, the second planet was still owned by the enemy empire.
The game acted like the enemy empire was elimintated (I couldnt place bounties, form alliences, or do anything with it) and yet, it still owned planets.
A few hours later, I had ship vision and planet vision with another allied empire. ONE of my allied planets was attacked, and the game told me that my ally had been eliminated. However, with the planet vision, I could still see that they had 5 other planets AND one of them was still marked as their "home" planet. I was also unable to offer missions, or do anything with my "eliminated" ally... Even though they still had 5 planets.
So my question is.... What is going on here? I thought that in order for an empire to be eliminated, ALL of the planets needed to be destroyed, not just one. I recently got the trinity patch, and this is the first game Ive played since I downloaded the patch. So did something go wrong and I need to reinstall my game? Or is there something that Im missing here?
Thanks
