Foreign languages

Is there any plan for translations in foreign languages ?

I was quite disappointed to have Diplomacy in english only, as Entranchment had been translated.

Well, since you don't say what language you need, and that you are from the same country that me ( Belgium )... we have 3 language in our little country : French, Dutch, German...

For French, look at http://transgalactique.free.fr/telesins.html ... only for diplomacy 1.011... will need some time for a translation of the last patch...

For German, look at http://www.sinsofasolarempire.de/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,93/func,select/id,5/

For Dutch, sorry, i have never found a translation...

Why don't people make mods in their language?  Best solution.  Modding the sound and interfaces is one of the more painless things in Sins--though I don't know about ICO chat support for foreign fonts.

Thanks for the link.

I found it somes times ago but now I'm on the latest version of the game.

As for the mod, indeed for texts it is just a matter of editing the file, and I started, but it is quite time consuming.

To answer the question, I need french, but I intentionally left the question open.

For information, there is a problem with impulse. You can download SoE , entrenchment in french on impulse, but not diplomacy. But official translation in french exist because, if you buy the trinity box, Diplomatie will be in french, but you can't download other language in impulse. I have both version. i don't know if it's the same for german, or other foreign countries.

That's very sad if the official one exists they could release it in one way or another like a patch or a file to download and install.
