Hi,

This is a mod editor for Sins Of A Solar Empire Trinity/Diplomacy (next version will be Rebellion only)

As of this Version a backup function is included to port Data from Version to Version.
Only one project at a time (duplicate the Editor directory to support more projects)
All the basic stuff is in there
Read the readme file included for a disclaimer
Uses Filemaker and 360Works' Scriptmaster Plugin
Filemaker is not required, Scriptmaster plugin is distributed with this solution

!!Requires Java to be installed on the PC!!

 

As of now, besides many others the following limitations apply:

gameplayconstant and other such files are not supported
Brushes are not supported

Ok, I haven't done anything but look at it for a minute but...

HOLY COW!

This is seriously a step in the right direction and I hope you will continue work on it.  Millions of exhausted brain cells thank you for your effort.

Now I will go play with it and see if I can use it. 

A help file would be really nice but it makes sense.  You should invoke the powers of Zombie and Harpo to aid you...if you summon them, they will come.

Helpfiles and many other things should be added, but I con only do so much and many people await the next SOTYR release so that must come first. However I started to add the planetmodules today and may be finished within a week.

As for using it in it's current state, I must warn you that I have not yet given an easy way to update the database from one Version to the next, which I think is crucial for the usefulness of this Editor. One could export and import everything by hand, but that is very tedious.

As for Harpo and Zombie, I will use their sources where required but that might still be some way off. I will post updates here though. So keep checking time and again!

Planetmodules are almost finished, just need cost functions as well as export functionality. Will post an update once they are ready

Rodney "HotRod" Jenkings has found some bugs in it which I will squash asap. Starbases support should also be done within a week. Then development will take a backseat to development of the SOTYR mod.

Posted Version 0.96, still missing abilities, planets and lots of other files, but the basic export is now completely 1.34 compatible and tested (used for SOTYR 0.42x). Entity manifest export and string export are just exporting the parts that are created in the Editor and need to be expanded with the vanilla(diplomacy) files.

I won't hassle you you are providing a free service with both an excellent mod and this excellent program--and the Book of G'Quan forbids it.

Happy new year as well. It's not that I would not want to add them, it's a very time consuming task and takes a backseat when compared to the SOTYR mod. Then there are my workshifts which are 10 to 12+ hours a day atm and weekend work (even this weekend) so my time is limited. I also need to take care of my relationship and friends so it will take a while for new features to show up. Sorry

But I will at least add the abilities if I can find a way to visualise them.

Looks nice, is it used to simply organize or to build? I'll have to spend some time playing with it. I have a long string of visitors this summer which will suck up most of my available bandwidth...

It is used to build things from scratch, no import available. It does all the assigning for you and provides easy ways to type Strings and create all entity files from scratch
