Capital Ships and the AI

Hi,

in the last Time i played a lot of games with only AI-Player , and at the End of the Game i look , how many ships the AI has.

I saw, that th AI hasn´t opened all possible Capital Ship Slots.

What is the Problem, the Ship-Slots are all open, as many ships as i can have..... but the AI has only vour points from the possible eight, so the max number of Capital is not so high as my Max...

Can someone help ...

The AI is pretty stupid.

If it was Easy, Medium, Hard, or Unfair, the AI will not max out everything, and will usually leave some slots open.

If it was Cruel or Vicious, the AI should have bought and then proceeded to build all of the ships.

Usually researching all capital ship slots is not a good idea.

Unless you have a whole lot of money and already have a big frigate fleet.
