I don't know what to think

I have a question that I PM'ed my favorite Mod with, but he isn't in that department so he told me who to ask, and I PM'd one of them and didn't get an answer, so I'm just going to post it here and see what I get. I submitted my Night and the Hunter screen as a wallpaper because it has a good sized area of black sky that works well with desktop icons. And since it has been so popular as a Logon for me and as a Bootskin for inthebloodofeden, I figured it would be a well received wallpaper. But it wasn't put in the public gallery! Honestly, I don't understand the reasoning behind that. Can you explain it to me? Am I missing something here? Is it just too many Night and the Hunter things out there?

I think it's best that you wait for a response from the Mod you PM'd.

If all that was required for an acceptable/good wallpaper was blank space for icons then an entirely blank image would suffice.

It isn't, so it doesn't.

What's also needed is a standard and style of graphics which appeals to the [majority of the] moderators.

I'd  be posting that one to the Private Gallery  too, had I been the one to do so...

Well, it seemed to be pretty popular in the LogonStudio and Bootskin forms.....I NEVER do wallpapers but thought this would be something the folks would enjoy.

Looking at your screenshot there appears to be something wrong with your digital Nexus clock module, by the way. My guess is that the font required to display the time in it was not installed properly for some reason.

Try downloading the full version from the Winstep web site again and re-installing it *on top* of your current version (this will not affect your current settings). Don't forget to exit all running Winstep applications before running Setup.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I needed them.....

And over 2000 people downloaded it as a Logon, so at least I pleased that many people! I just didn't understand how a good logon became a crappy wallpaper!

Speaking from personal experience, many a "good" logon becomes a "crappy" wallpaper. Different moderators and criteria is all that I can figure out. Don't let it discourage you from trying. I like the concept of the work but the graphics on the panther could be a higher quality. Perhaps the resolution is not the best.   Nice to hear you got your clock fixed!

Thanks for the encouragement to keep going, I can use it......one problem I have is I work with PSP8, kinda dated, but no money for newer graphics programs. And some of those new ones are so complicated! I don't think I could learn to use them.!

Who knows better than the Mods, right? I've had the same thing happen many times, in fact some of my work is so well recieved other places that the downloads are in the thousands, and rejected here. So, who knows better than the Mods?

I use PSP6.

The most important 'plugin' is the person in front of the keyboard..... not all those bells and whistles that newer Graphics proggies try to entice you with....
