The Q have given the Borg the technical ability to open  inter-dimensional tunnels. This has made the Borg aware of other realities, full of species to assimilate. In the Star Wars Universe alone there are millions of races, billions of individuals all ready for the Borg to "add the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species to [their] own". They realise the magnitude, an Eternity in the  pursuit of perfection.

New alliances have been formed from previous foes. The proverb "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" rings true. War on a inter galactic scale breaks out with myraid possibilities and outcomes, where new foes are discovered and doppleganger fights doppleganger. And the Q Continuum look on with interest, no one knowing there true intentions. Is it perhaps another test for humanity?

"The Q Continuum act indifferently to the affairs of the non-Q beings living in normal space, or in the many dimensions parallel to their own. The Q are a unique race, and they possess many extraordinary, "God-like" powers including the ability to manipulate time, space, matter, and energy."

I don't understand it's still not working. Has it got anything to do with it's the 7th race I'm adding in? Also I noticed that SOA2 has two picture-ship entities in the window folder.

It should work. Double check all your work for errors. 

Check the channels of the TGA.

any luck on all the permissions?  You seems to have done a lot on the assumption that the mod teams who are still working on their own mods with all that content will give permission to someone who just grabbed the meshes.  What happens if one says, "Sorry bud, we're still trying to get our mod out, maybe then."?

I have permission from certain mod teams, some permissions with conditions and some teams never got back to me. I'm not assuming anything at this stage. I've only ever done this to answer my own question if you can remember it. The thread that somebody locked without telling or even asking me.( you know who you are, hang your head in shame, I feel violated). So it can be done," star wars vs star trek", I proved it. I have been playing it everynight, only it got bigger and I needed to add more races, to see if I could. I have seven races in now, all with 9 capitals, 9 Cruisers and 9 frigates and each carrier has 4 different fighter/ bomber models. I would love to add an 8th race, made out of the X3 races. And yes I have used other peoples meshes and if they don't agree, so be it. I said I won't want to release anything without permissions anyway. It won't detract from the fun I've had making it. Plus it's inspired two other mods, maybe even three.

i like this one better cuz u have a vulcan ship in it and could u secretly release something for us like pm the link to "special" people if u ever get it uploaded somewhere pretty please

I Haven't got all the permissions in place, plus the first people to view it will be the Mod teams i "borrowed" the ship meshes/textures from.

Ive finally managed to fix this.

Thank God. It took me ages to fathom it out.

Quick question on abilities and buffs please.

If i add a new ability and buff, (a copy of the Ion blast ability & Ion blast buff, with increased stats), i add the two new files to the Gameinfo file and then code them to the .entity file.

Finally, i open up the gameinfo entity for the Capital ship and add the ability.

Is there anything else i need to do to get them in game?

Took a bit of a break recently, work, family & holidays etc. The usual stuff.

Just waiting for the dark nights and bad weather to take hold then i will continue with the Mod.

I will be honest, i was waiting for Myfisto to port X3 models at somepoint for his mod and then steal them somehow!

Ive got 8 races in now all working ok, apart from X3 ship models.

Thanks for the continued interest noing.

Just an fyi for Theophantus... I finally found the cause of the lighting problems on the textures for the ships he has borrowed from the SGRaces mod.  They're still not perfectly lit and a little dark but they are much better now.  There isn't a current release with the fixes incorporated available as of this writing, but the next release version will have them.  With the recent patches I should get back to work on that and get a new current version out, but I've been taking a little break too due to real life crap as of late.  I wasn't in a hurry to update the version but patches that affect mod compatibility always bump up my timetable.

hey guys ..I love the idea of mixing universes together and I really hope you will be able to finish and release this mod....until then, I made a little mod for myself, with Babylon 5 and Star Trek...both races use TEC research tree, I only changed the ships and balanced them against each other...I put a battle on youtube, hope you guys like it...

can we have a bromance? ive fallen in love with you man, i brought up combining several mods the other day on the forums as i was curious if it could be done without doing a total conversion as im kinda liking vanilla sins races, but hell if you bring this out and it works, ill dump the vanilla races for these 6 (officially) races in a heart beat

 

Any update on progress ?
