Do you like her? Then go out, have fun, and take her hints. She can still show you around, you just have to avoid pissing her off for a while, which is a generally good idea anyway.
Do you not like her? Then go out, have fun, and when she makes hints, tell her that you like her as a friend, but you're not interested in pursuing a relationship. She either takes it well and all is good or she takes it poorly and you can't very well help it.
Other possibility is that you're reading harmless flirtation as her liking you and it really won't lead to anything. In which case, flirt and have fun.
Keep in mind that a lot of people see college as a good time to have fun without commitment. If you're cool with that and she at any point makes it clear that it's what she wants, then use protection and have fun.
Oh, and just take two or three Marzas coupled with a lot of LRM and some Hoshikos. That'll clear the cruisers and you can plow ahead.
