I'd wager if not by December 16th, then probably not until 2012. And the likelihood that it would be out by the 16th I think is low since it is so close and we haven't heard anything about the beta yet.
What do you want us to say spore? The developers have said 'it will be done when it is done'. There's nothing more to it than that, period.
