Why are my mods not working?

i downloaded the 7 deadly sins mod (the one i want) and got the folder in the right place unziped it and all that and when i tryed to enable it my game crashed what to do? ive spent half a day geting and placeing difrent mods havent found one thats worked! and yes it is the right version help me please and thank you!

Well 7DS only works with Entrenchment. Not Diplomacy/Trinity. But it would be nice if you would list the Mods, where you downloaded them and what .exe you were using.

yes its entrenchment v 1.051 ile list the mods here soon

this one http://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/411648 dosent show up it dident list the version so i probably dont have the right one no matter its 7DS ime after i just decided to get smaller ones and see if that might be the problem. BTW ime runing vista on a dell.

And in the case of 7DS, be sure to not have all your setting on very high else it crash... be sure to have enough ram... 2gb ram is enough for enable the mod but will crash very fast...

Always good to make a post with your problem in the topic related to the mod or if they have one, on the forum from the mod...

why do we bother having a forum here

for the sake of not being a total dick, what are your computer specs?  processor, graphics card, memory.

Try running without bloom, 1024x768, planets med, ships med/med/low, buildings med/med/low.  For Anti-Aliasing, none or no-sampling.

If you got SOASE from Steam, the next beta will have the menu fixed.  Steam and most recently updated SOASE is Entrenchment 1.053, not 1.051 so there is that new mod folder.

Press start, then run, type dxdiag, save details, and paste details to www.pastebin.com then paste the link here.

it will also help if you avoid playing with more than 3 AI's since you are running on Vista.

first of all i admit my idoacy on the first part my appologies.

second ime still runing 1.051 as it had been a long time since i last played and thats the version that 7DS adverties on sins forms.

i will read the Dman froms and if i still need help ile post again yet again my appolgies if it turns out i wasted every 1's time (had to leave me an if) good day ~sundavargarzla
