On/Off titan option

Hi all,

I was wondering if it wouldf be possible to put a on/off titan option? Since they are pretty much game changing and a must if you want to compete...

I feel thye overshadow the new researchs a bit, so mich we don;t really do anythign beyond pumping it out...

So please pretty please!!! On/Off titan.

Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of this new game?  I would have to say that I do not like that Idea and that anyone wanting to not use titans go back to playing the older game if you don't like them.  But that's my opinion.

I think its a little early to decide if that's necessary. But I assure you no matter what happens someone will make a mod to take them out at the least.

A better option would be add the ability to play as one of the three original races alongside their Loyalist and Rebel counterparts, only then Rebellion will truly replace Diplomacy/Trinity.

That's just silly. It's perfectly alright for the titans to be an optional feature within games. There are massive gameplay overhauls to be had vs diplomancy - that you shouldn't be forced to miss out on just because you feel the Titans may be a bit silly, or you just don't want to play with them in a game or two.

Why are people so AFRIAD of the tians? Bring on! I have been able to pwn these things with my normal fleet of capital ships and frigates.

I will be VERY disappointed if the titans get nerfed, these are the end all units, I don't want a glorified capital ship....

The only one that needs nerfed is the Ankylon. And it just needs an ability nerf, not a DPS/Shield/Hull nerf.

There are no "deathmatch" type options to disable anything, nor min/max tech, setting starting labs (mil/civ), boost starting cred/metal/crystal X%.  You can't disable by statCountType or planetModuleRoleType, so preventing titans just won't be on the menu.

Options, you got the wrong game m8.  You can ask, "I do not want titans with that." However, you will get them anyway and so will your enemies.  To protest StarClad making Titans, do not play with them.

they are as part of the game as any feature. turn them off? in beta the devs need to see how titons and all new fetures preform.  if you let players turn them offhow does that help balenceing

Agreed. More options can never be a bad thing.

There is more to Rebellion than Titans...

In many real-time strat games turning off endgame options like Titans is a common feature, like turning off nukes in Supreme Commander.

Already done. Remove the titan building facility, and you already disabled titan.
