Cannot log on with v0.75 "Old Version of Sins Detected"

Is it just me, or is anyone else having difficulty logging onto ICO for the Beta?  My game just updated and it says "Rebellion Beta v0.75" but it won't let me log on.  It claims, "Old version of Sins detected.  Make sure you have the latest update."

I'm having this problem too....and I really don't feel like uninstalling...clearing appdata doesn't seem to help either (not that it should, since the location of those files has changed)...

Chances are ICO has not been properly updated. This happened once before when they patched Entrenchment.

Unfortunately ... give them some time, it might yet get corrected during the weekend. Worst case, setup a Hamachi LAN with friends.

Would be useful if Ironclad could confirm if this is actually the case (borked beta in which case I will wait for a supplementary update) or if its a Steam Update/local issue...and if the only solution is to fully uninstall & reinstall.

I have the same issue as OP, have tried backing up local game content and restoring, no joy, and have tried flicking between "keep game up to date" and "not" to see if I can force Steam to re-update...no joy.

So, with my amazing 3mb internet connection I am seriously hoping I can avoid a fresh install and reinstall

Brew.

I hope they resolve this soon, it's hampering non-veterans like me (who don't have old acquaintances with whom to play on direct connect) from participating in the beta in multiplayer.

Quoting Brewber,

It is at the very least a widespread issue, which we'll most certainly be looking into as soon as we can, so don't stress out over trying to find a client-side solution.

My friend and I have the same problem. Well done Stardock! I understand it is a beta but why rolling out an update without proper testing of the basic things?

Guys, are we gonna get this fixed tonight? It's Saturday.  Is it a universal problem, or just widespread?

EDIT @ 6:51PM PST: I am in, game is working, thanks!!
