Hi Sinners!

So one of the best way to get constant and detailed feedback regarding the game is to have a vibrant online community.  This is achieved by providing adequate clan support to the game's online base, ICO.

What I am requesting is a "Clans" tab on the left side of the ICO main menu.  Upon clicking this tab, a player would see a list of the clans in the Sins community, and their number of members.  Upon clicking an individual clan, there would be another window showing the full roster of the clan and their last active log in so as to gauge the activity of the clan.  It should also include a space for clan leaders to describe their clan, its goals, when it was founded, etc.  Other perks could include an "Apply to this clan" button, and a "Challenge to clan match".  The "Challenge to clan match" could only be done by a clan leader or a member with sufficient permission from another clan.  The challenged clan would receive a notification when they next log in.

Also, once you are in a clan, your clan should be able to put a logo up that would take the place of the default themes in the game.  Each clan member would have this logo as their theme (unless they choose otherwise, I guess).  Clan members should also be "tagged up" in that as soon as they are accepted into their clan, their clan tag gets put in front of their display name in brackets, for example:

Player name: Radioactive

Clan name: Dream Team

Clan Tag: [DT]

New display name: [DT]Radioactive

It's not perfect by any means but I wanted to put a few ideas on the table for discussion.  One of the biggest mistakes you guys (Stardock/Ironclad) made in Sins Vanilla/Trinity was that you let your online community be ravaged by bugs/minidumps/desyncs.  4 Years later and on the same engine, you have almost no excuse for failure.  If you want to have a steady supply of dump files, desynced saves, balance input, suggestions for expansions, among other benefits, you need to really allow for a thriving online scene that includes clan competition.

Heck, it will even help you sell more games down the road!

Quoting Rovert10,

Quoting Mecha-Lenin, reply 71Quoting sareth01, reply 70What has happened to Ironclad/Stardock that changed it from being a company with a vision?

They have different vision now, called Sins of a Dark Age.

Ironclad does but Stardock doesn't... so wtf is SD doing?

Multiplayer just isn't something that Stardock has ever regarded as a priority. They don't view it as important and thus don't devote the effort it takes to do it right (which is a lot). Then they get games with no particular MP following and use that to say "look nobody plays MP, why would we bother?"

Could be worse though, anybody here ever try MP in War of Magic? That was so absurdly bad that it was just scrapped entirely for the expansion, which was the right thing to do.

Unfortunately that's just how it is. If you want games where MP is a first class citizen, you'll need to look at another company.

There is no other.... at least there wanst....

In my opinion if they resell the same game for 40 usd they could at least keep their promisces and focus on MP.

Give us proper caln suppor , ladders, turnaments,  chats system  not from age when i was young and ZX spectrum lived on earth , and fix minidumps ,

MP focused balance would help too

but im not fussy IDK if they gonna be bribed or come to their sences of natural causes , i just want the effect.

I want sins to be DT vs again.

I think it's absurd that we're at the point where people are literally willing to throw their money at IC in hope of getting some basic MP features. I didn't buy Single Player game. I didn't even buy game with "single player focus" (not marketed as such). I bought game supporting both SP and MP, and since IC had been totally neglecting MP part of the game for past 4 years and won't even add few small but essential features to ICO, I feel majorly screwed over.

Remember, it's not one, 40$ game. It's Sins @ 40$, then 2 expansions @ 10$ each, then compilation- Trinity. Now Rebellion, which adds titans, corvettes and few new techs. Again, 40$. Seriously, IC? All this  and no single update to ICO? And people want to actually donate cash. LMFAO.

Btw. as far as bribe money goes. I am in for at minimum $100 or whatever the cost of the collectors edition ends up being.

stupid and rediculous that we have to resort to paying devs overtime?  ya.

Worth it to get the basic shit to make sins successful? prolly.

Bullshit that this shit would then mean that the guys above the devs will then get to skimp out when it came to allotting dev hours for multiplayer support for sins 2?  totally.

Ironclad just thinks that "oh online multiplayer isn't that popular, we are a single player game".

They are wrong...i've seen so many people leave this game because of fucking minidumps desyncs.

They would actually have a large multiplayer community if they didn't screw themselves all these YEARS.

The funny thing is that this horse isn't dead, they can STILL have an awesome multiplayer community if they GET ON THEIR COLLECTIVE ASSES AND START WORKING ON IT!!!!!

Quoting Mecha-Lenin,
Recently I watched TotalBiscuits video showing Sins MP. He played rather large FFA with what looked like normal speed setting. After 3-4h (don't remember exactly, but it's not the point) he rage quit. He summed up his experience as "5 hours of boredom culminating in disappointment".

To be fair, he was playing pretty badly. He clearly hadn't even done the tutorials to prep for the game then jumped in to a FFA which he live casts to everyone he is playing with so they all know what he's doing.  This leads to early abuse after which people got embarrassed that they did it so they left him alone forever.

Oh by the way I don't know if you knew yet but the whole UI and multiplayer format for Sins Rebellion is awful.  Just thought i'd let you know.  ICO developers, and Stardock make Bernie Madoff, a ponzi scheme designer who robbed charities, look responsible, docile, and caring.

Dear Devs , be resonable.

Remeber the last time when blizzard released gaycraft2?

It was a finishing blow for a sins multiplayer for  6 long months.

6 months whene max 30 people play this game.

Diablo III is comming out  on may. Do not repeat same mistakes and do what you promised us to do.

Do not let  greedy sideloks screw this over.

Remake the multiplayer UI and chat system , fix the minidumps , balance properly for multiplayer.

And ffs comunicate. Post patch notes, patch schedule and what r u working at. It helps.

I hope they'll re-institute the old in-game friends system.  I don't see why it would be a problem or why it would conflict with the Steam friends system.
