So, I was looking though the systems requirements and i noticed that they are quite high. I went through and looked at my computer and i met the minimum requirements in everything but one: The Processor. The minimum is a 4.3 Ghz but I only have a 2.53 Ghz. So my question is: seeing as my processor speed is so low, will it be able to run the game at all? How much would it cost to replace?

Where'd you see that? A single core laptop can run it as well, just at the lowest settings and will be horrible laggy.

Minimum

Processor: 1.8 GHz Single-Core Processor

Recommended

Processor: 2.2 GHz Dual- or Quad-Core Processor

Lol most people don't have a 4.3Ghz processor. That is extremely high for most as most have dual/quad cores.

I am on a 2.0 i7 extreme. Works wonders lol.

I play with a 2.2Ghz QuadCore MacBook and that works like a charm.

Haha, my notebook with an intel core i3 and a nVidia GT 320 M works the game on medium settings like a charm... well the 1GB ram kinda limits it to small to medium maps, but that's not a problem when me and my friend play LAN .

Quoting Scudhawk,
Where'd you see that?

He have look at http://store.steampowered.com/app/204880/?snr=1_4_4__105_1 , but he have read it in the wrong way... it is writen "Pentium 4 3ghz processor" and not "Pentium 4.3ghz"...

For memory, the P4 is the old 32 bit single core from 2000... these was followed by the Pentium D ... who itself was followed by the Pentium Core 2... and the most recent are the Pentium core i3/5/7...

Since , we have mutlicore, hyperthreading, x64, SSE4, Nx, etc...

As for XP SP3 on the steam page, it work with XP x64 SP2 without problem ( XP x64 have no SP3 )

Sadly I am technologically challenged so Thoumsin, i have no idea what you just said. If I told you that my computer was a 2.5 GHz processor and what they want for a minimum is a 4 3 GHz processor does that mean its going to run? Like I said im no pro with computer this is usually how I look at things when it comes to them: Hmm, that minimum has a bigger number than i currently have, so therefor it must be better than what I have. If you would like me to tell you the rundown of my computer I can if you wish. Thanks.

What people said here is that Sins does not require a 4.3 Ghz pc but one with at least 1.8 Ghz. Though 2.2 Ghz or better is recommended. In other words: you should be fine with your 2.5 Ghz processor.

Maybe you should go and take a visit at wikipedia to read something about processors and how they work (and maybe other things, too?). It's not really in-depth, but gives you a rough idea. You should at least know what your PC is capable of so you don't end up accidentaly frying it.

It's like with cars, if you have enough knowledge about it to realize that there are no actual horses stuffed into the engine you'll have less trouble if something small is to fix .

Is there a way for enabling the game to access more RAM? I have an HP dv6tse with a dual core i5 2.3Ghz with turbo boost to 2.7Ghz and 6gb of RAM, but the game still lags with full graphics, especially on large maps. Is there a way to fix this or to optimize performance? Even when I turn down the graphics to the absolute lowest on huge random maps late game it still lags. Any advice would be appreciated.
