This is in regards to the black screen issues/minidumps/random crashes. I play Sins on two computers, one is a home-built desktop, the other is a new HP laptop. Specs on both:
Desktop: AMD Phenom II BE 940 3.0Ghz, 6 GB DDR2, Radeon 5770, etc.
Laptop: Intel Quad i7m 2.4 Ghz, 8 GB DDR3, Radeon 7690m
Both are obviously quite capable of playing/running the game at high specs, especially the desktop. My problem is that when I play on the laptop, single player or multiplayer, I get very frequent crashes/minidumps. Sometimes I will randomly get black screened. I frequently get the black screen on startup of the game and have to sleep the laptop and wake it up again before I can see the game. Multiplayer results in extremely frequent minidumps and desyncs. My desktop does almost none of this. I have had maybe 1 minidump and one or two black screens on my desktop. They happen all the time on my laptop.
I have no idea if the difference between the computers is at all significant but I wanted to point this out in case part of the problem is the hardware difference.
EDIT: All drivers and such are up to date on both computers.
