Unable to install any mods whatsoever PLEASE HELP

Okay, So i am in the correct folders and all that jazz, but it says i need to be an administator to edit the files, even though i am one. im running vista. I've tried everything and nothing works, HELP

the diplomacy folder is for the ANCIENT first release of diplomacy (the current is 1.34, and even the entrenchment folder is ALSO  from last year even(first of november 2011) & the entrenchment version is up to 1.053.

the paths are almost correct for the current release versions.

the current mod paths for YOU would be

C:\Users\Emo Dai\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Diplomacy v1.34

C:\Users\Emo Dai\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.053

C:\Users\Emo Dai\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-v1.193

but an easier method would be to create a SHORTCUT to the sins data folder (C:\Users\Emo Dai\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire), then just look for the latest version folder AFTER running each expansion of the game AFTER an update.

so far permissions is fixed now if i extract it to desktop first, then cut and paste it into the correct path

Would it help if i currently have the cracked client? I know its not nice to have it, But i didn't know if the game could run or not and whether i would enjoy playing it. Or what kind of mods are available to improve it. Problem is i cant get mods to see what the game is like in that respect :/

You are saying you pirated the game?

We don't like those kind of pirates here. No modder worth their salt will deliberately have a mod that works with a cracked version.

No, i just downloaded the file, I didn't think anything of it. But I couldn't find a demo to play to see if I liked the game. I have every intention of buying the game, it's fantastic! But I just wanted to be sure it was what it claimed to be :/

go straight to the store page and BUY the trinity pack, and perhaps also the rebellion.

THEY ARE worth the money (like you I had tried the game back in 08, liked it then tried to BUY it and could only get it from the stardock store as it was NOT in australia at that time), and I now have the original release sins, entrenchment diplomacy trinity AND rebellion.

and after the purchase on the store's download page you will be able to download the latest trinity 1.34 at 1.09gb which will allow you to play all current mods.

Yes, steam can be used to by Trinity and is the only way to download Rebellion.

There was a demo that was up. Not sure where it went.
